My Approach

Welcome! I'm glad you stopped by. My name is Reynelda Jones,(a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Acudetox Specialist) and I'm here to help. My goal as a therapist is to offer a safe and compassionate place where counseled clients  from all over  Michigan can become empowered and gain support as they navigate through the challenges of life.  No matter what you're going through, whether it is stress, anxiety or Posttraumatic Stress Disorder there is hope!

About Me: I graduated from Michigan State University where I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Anthropology, followed with a Masters in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. With over a decade of experience in the field, personal experience, studying the mind-body connection, and developing successful therapeutic curriculum and groups for local agencies, primarily for women and families; I chose to use my skills to develop A Solution B - a private practice with a holistic approach to therapy.

I strongly believe all individuals own the natural ability to calm and direct themselves using internal resources. However, due to stress, anxiety, trauma responses, emotional management difficulty, and negative thought processes, often this ability has not been utilized effectively. Therefore, I strive to assist my clients in the rediscovery of these abilities and the enhancement of these gifts,  through the use of various therapeutic techniques such as environmental exploration and nutrition exploration, mindfulness, acupuncture, suggested resources, as well as, traditional talk therapy, etc. My self-care and innate talent to cope and reduce stress is through the use of singing, songwriting, writing poetry and creatively re-purposing items in my spare time. At the current, moment, Pinterest is my new “best friend.”

In addition, I am a firm believer in continued learning. Therefore, I often attend relevant conferences and workshops and research effective, evidence-based practices with a holistic, non-evasive approach. Last but not least, in my sessions, I often suggest books and other self-help resources to assist individuals with emotional wellness.

Holistic Approaches

We offer evidence-based holistic approaches such as environmental exploration, nutritional exploration and auricular (ear) acupuncture and other complementary interventions.

Research has proven these interventions, including auricular acupuncture, to be a medication free alternative. These approaches assists with decreasing chronic pain, anxiety symptoms, managing triggers, improves sleep, decreases headaches and so much more.

“If you want to conquer the anxiety of life, live in the moment, live in the breath.” ~Amit Ray

Creative Therapy

You may wonder how is art a part of therapy. However, art plays many important roles. For instance, art can assist you in relieving stress as well as focusing on the here and now, thereby allaying the anxiety caused by continued dwelling in the past and nervous anticipation of future events.
